Frequently Asked Questions -

How many dogs do you have at one time?
We are licensed to have up to 9 dogs at one time at our Main Day Care in Misterton but this is not the case every day - it really depends on the dogs themselves, their safety and happiness comes first. Our other Guardians only take 1 or 2 dogs at one time. Please contact us for further information.

What if my dog is not good with other dogs?
We only take dogs that socialise well with other dogs - if your dog does not, we can offer home visits or pet sitting.

What are your charges?
Please see our rates page - click here.

Can I visit where my dog will be staying?
Yes. We encourage you and your dog to visit the Guardian in their home to see if they are compatible before you make a firm booking.

Do you take full males?
We assess all dogs carefully before accepting them into Day Care and Boarding as they are mixing with other dogs in a home environment, we try to accommodate both unspayed bitches and uncastrated dogs.

What happens next once I know you have availability?
For new customers - you visit the Guardian with your dog, or the Guardian will visit you in your home, to make sure everyone is compatible and happy with everything. Sarah will then visit or call to gather all your dogs details, contact number, vets etc. This enrolment form only needs to be done the once, as we will have got to know you and your pet. Then you can just call again when you need us.

Do you provide a pick up and drop off service?
Yes. Just let us know what service you require and we can give you total cost with travel included.

What happens if there is an incident?
3 of us now hold a certificate in Dog First Aid, and so we assess the situation, deal with it accordingly and professionally.. If we cannot get hold of you or your vet, we contact our nearest veterinary surgery.

Will you be walking my dog with other dogs when on home visits?
Not without your consent - customers sometimes ask us to walk our own with theirs for socialisation and we do not walk your dog with other customers dogs without your consent. We have 2 walking options, please see our rates page. If you prefer, we will walk your dog alone.

Is there lots of paperwork?
No, once you have filled in our registration pack, which you will do when we first meet you and assess your dog, we then keep it on file so you just can call when you need us.
